The new Iphone doesn't download a profile

Hello,

I tested adding an iPhone via DEP and ABM. I add the phone via Apple configurator to ABM. I then get the phone into Sophos Central, but the process ends there as I cannot apply a profile to the phone. On the iPhone screen I see - Remote Management - Time out. In Sophos Central on the iPhone I see - Assigned.

    May we know the OS version of the device/s you're trying to add? was this experience only to the OS version or any of the devices you're trying to register?

    It was an Iphone with iOS 15.8. We found that if we turn off Apple ID checking in Sophos and set SKIP, the phone downloads the profile and completes its configuration.

  • hello thank you for your reply, we have checked this with our internal team, and they suspect this might be a network-related issue. You may refer to this article to check the connectivity on your side further. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT210060 

    Also, if there's no problem on the network end, perhaps there's something wrong with the DEP profile stored on the Apple backend. You may try modifying the profile and re-upload, which might resolve the possible problem on the DEP profile.

    I don't think there should be a network problem, because we tried it over WIFI, but also over LTE connection. Only skipping the APPLE ID in the Sophos configuration really helped.

    When Apple ID authentication was turned off, enrollment completed.
