Accessibility API - new Google policy for use in 3rd-party-apps

Stumbled across this article on Android Police: https://www.androidpolice.com/google-ends-call-recording-apps-accessibility-services/

Is this going to affect the use of Sophos mobile apps in any way? Are we going to be flooded again with permission requests (non-compliant devices) our users have to deal with or is this already been taken care of when we firstly deploy devices and set up the apps?

How did Sophos design the apps use of Accessibility API?

The policy clearly states that the “Accessibility API is not designed and cannot be requested for remote call audio recording.” Further, the use of the API must be documented in the Play Store listing, and apps that are not built with accessibility use cases in mind primarily must add disclaimers and require explicit consent from users before they can use them. These new rules will come into effect on May 11, 2022.
