Suddenly Unable to enrol any Device (Critical this is fixed asap) Support request number 03262256

Hello,
we have recently upgraded our server OS to Server 2019, following this we have upgraded the sophos mobile Server Application to the latest available on your download website. since the upgrade (2 weeks ago) we have experienced no issues with the application, infact known issues were fixed and the system was operating 100% correctly.

today when attempting to enrol any Device on any platform the system just hangs when attempting to generate the enrolment QR code. i must stress this is incrediualy urgent, i am on leave (i Manage the MDM solution) but have been brought in to try resolve. please can you contact me urgently so we can try and resolve.

support call logged as critical.

  • Hi

I just went through the case and it seems by clearing the few tasks in SMC, you were able to enroll the devices. Please let me know if you are still facing the issue with the enrollment process.

  • hi,

yes its appears from what support stated there is a quota of tasks that can be deployed at any one time, once this is exceeded the server becomes totally unresponsive Please can you point me to any documents advising the limitations or quotas of tasks that can be sent at any one time. we have excess of 3000 devices so quota knowledge is very much required. it was 659 tasks that were sent which brough the server down.

As we have SCEP configuration which has a renewal of 6 months ideally we need to know the quota or have the quota removed if possible.

many thanks for supports help to resolve this.
