Hi Hari,

The detection CXMal/Wanna-A is a Sophos detection name, so yes we detect it. it's just not listed on that article as there have been many updates since the original WannaCry attacks.

The one I was concerned about is the CXMal/Wanna-A which I do not see in that list. Maybe Sophos is working on that strain and will have something out soon to address it.

Wanna-A is a variant of the WannaCry ransomware. Have a read at our KB article, that goes in to detail about this malware and our products: Wana Decrypt0r 2.0 Ransomware
