Hi Sa Hein Khant I ,
Thank you for reaching out to our Community Forum. Can you clarify what you mean exactly by an additional license for the OS?
If you haven't already, you may also start by going through the following article to know the requirements and prerequisites for Update Cache and Message Relay servers:
Hi Glady Reyes thanks for your information's. Now the question I asked does not mean the license from Sophos. I am asking what license are required on the Windows side. I don't think it's necessary, right?
Thanks

Hi Sa Hein Khant I ,
That's right, no additional licenses from Windows or Microsoft is required. As long as it meets the system requirements mentioned in the article above.
Gladys Thanks you very much.
Gladys I would like to confirm one thing. I have just purchased a Sophos Intercept X Advance for Server license.Does that license support Windows endpoints as well as Linux endpoints? And if i buy the Intercept X Advance Server license, does the license cover the "Message Relay Server function"?
Hi Sa Hein Khant I ,
The Sophos Intercept X Advanced for Server license supports Windows and Linux servers. I'd also suggest that you go through the following system requirements articles for more details.

Sophos Protection for Linux: List of system requirements and tested platforms
Regarding Message Relay, you can set it up on a server that has a Server Protection license. But please keep in mind that the Message Relay cannot be configured standalone. A server must be set up as an Update Cache if you want it to be a Message Relay. You'll find more details in this article under "What are the prerequisites for an Update Cache and a Message Relay?" section.
I'll also link a Techvids video that you can watch. The Update Cache and Message Relays are explained here, how they work and how to configure them.
