Migration to Sophos Central - Groups

Question

I am using the migration wizard to move to Sophos Central and have synced the required AD Groups. Groups are syncing without issues, I have selected to sync OU's only. In the wizard you can see the group/location of the device and the corresponding group exists in Central. When migrating devices these are not being assigned automatically to the synced groups, they just show in the standard Computers Group. 
 How do I get migrated devices into the correct groups automatically ? 
 I am hoping this is not going to be a case of me having to manually move these into the required groups !

 Let me know if the guidance mentioned under " How we migrate devices and groups " helps explain this a bit further. 
 I do also see this mention " If you use a directory service to import computers and groups to Sophos Central, we recommend that you turn off Preserve Group Layouts. "
