now that MR-1 has appeared, I wanted to ask when MR-2 will appear? The problems and instabilities of IPSec in v17 (especially in connection with V16.5) are very annoying.
the information from the Sophos Partner Portal is:
A second maintenance release to address the remaining outstanding issues is scheduled for the end of this month to ensure we continue to maintain our excellent quality bar.
In reply to alda:
Are there any news about the release of MR-2?

according to my previous experience, the MR2 will be released on Thursday.
will MR-2 be released today?
Count me as another who is eagerly awaiting some IPSEC VPN fixes(VPN tunnel goes down after PPoE modem acquires a new DHCP address and then the tunnel never go back online). I hope it comes pretty soon.

That's one of my problems too....

There is a fix included in v17MR2 regarding IPSec connection over a PPPoE uplink. Stay tuned.

Good to hear. Hope MR-2 will come soon....
MR-2 release is tentatively on December 5th. This can change with unforeseen circumstance, but we'll update this thread if that is the case.
We'll also post a Discussion post with Release Notes on the Community once its live.

i am a bit fedup with ipsec issues when wan links disconnections !
Any news about the MR-2 release? Will it arrive today?
I did have an open tech support case on this. The tech told me yesterday that the release was going to be tomorrow Wed. (Dec 6th). I'm hoping he was wrong and that it's today. :-(
I am waiting for MR-2 as well, as my XG17 GA upgrade resulted in a frozen up firewall so I had to roll back to v16.5 MR-8. I know MR-1 claims to have fixed that but I've been holding off to see what list of patches and improvements MR-2 would bring.
