I have dcom errors by the thousands in my event logs on some of my servers. It is trying to communicate with devices that it never will communicate with. Such as the one below which is a 169.x.x.x address. I also see subnets which are peoples personal cell phones, and other non domain joined machines that simply just have a DHCP address. These errors from distributedCOM are filling up my logs so much, i cant see legitimate issues. How do i stop STAS.exe from generating these errors? I dont care if they are harmless, they are harmful to me because its a whole bunch of false positive errors i dont care about. how do i stop them from occurring?
please let me know. thanks.
I am also having this issue, is there a fix for this?
In reply to Mark Jozwiak:
Whilst you are running STAS on servers the product is part of the Firewall products. There are similar queries in the XG forum here; https://community.sophos.com/products/xg-firewall/f/authentication/89997/many-errors-event-id-10028
I'll move this post to that forum.

yeah i read that but i take it to be sophos' position that this not a problem. I gave up on thinking anyone would bother fixing this.
