Custom Templates

Hi there

I am trying to create a custom template for Sophos Web Appliances that users will see when accessing a restricted page. It will have our corporate logo, and a short message. The product documentation states that I can upload my own, and I have got so far as to download what appears to the the HTML/CSS sheet for the default - So am I correct in saying that HTML/CSS knowledge is required to FULLY customize our Block Page message?

Hi Peter Xenios

You don't really require knowledge of HTML/CSS. There are multiple tools available online where you can modify things according to your requirements.

Thank you but I would like to clarify something. I have modified a very simple page, and saved it as a .htm document. When I try to Upload in the Advanced tab of Notification Page Options,

I get an "Invalid Template File" message. What format do these template files need to be in?

Hi Peter,

The document extension is .htm and if it's not changed, it should be accepted. However, if you've changed anything in DOCTYPE declaration, it might give you an error.
