Does Web Server Security handle Failover?

Hi,

I like to reboot my servers every month or so to apply updates and generally keep them happy. Right now, when I do this, I change the redirects in the UTM (I use NAT at the moment) to point to the backup "Be right back!" page on another server.

It would be great if I could set up the UTM (SG230) to point users to the main site and, if down, point them to the backup site on its own.

Does Webserver Protection do this or is it really for load balancing?

Thanks,

Jeff

  • If I've understood your scenario, it sounds like you want an Availability Group in your NAT rule containing the two Host definitions you already have.
