JavaScript cryptocoin miner

Hello everyone,

Recently, many computers in my local network usually meet the problem with coinhive javascript : " Internet Files\Low\Content.IE5\A6BIEORT\coinhive.min[1].js" belongs to adware or PUA 'Coinhive JavaScript cryptocoin miner' (of type Other)."

Therefore, please show me how to prevent it on Sophos firewall

Many thanks

  • Chao Le and welcome to the UTM Community!

Enable "Dual Scan" in your Filter Actions in Web Protection and that you block Web Ads.  Make sure that Intrusion Prevention is enabled.

    Consider adding a Sandstorm subscription.

You should have anti-virus clients like Sophos Endpoint on all computers allowed to connect to your network.

    Cheers - Bob
