Translated Search problems....

Hi all,

did you ever try to use the google translated seach with content filter active?

Translated Search - Google Translate

The result of this search gives you a two colums output.
In the left column you have the "traslated" link of the right one.
But when you try any link of the left column the content filter blocks the link with the reason:

"Anonymizing Utilities not allowed"

Any idea?

Have you tried creating an exception for the URL filter for the Google "anonymizer" in those links?

I think your solution is not possible.
A link translated is for example this:

Translated version of http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energia_solare

What is the exception I have to do?
Consider that google.com is an allowed site in my configuration...

Yes it works.
Instead of excepiton I added translate.google.com to the URL permitted on the HTTP profile and it works.

But if I submit translate.google.com to the TrustedSource - Customer URL Ticketing System
it is categorized as "text translators" not "anonymizing utilities".

So why I have to skip the URL filter for translate.google.com?

Hi All,

I found in the end user logs you need to allow the following:

translate.google.com

translate.google.co.uk

translate.googeapis.com

I tagged them as the same then set this tag against the base policy for web filtering.
