Testing EICAR sample anti-malware testfile

Anyone noticed a change in the blocking of the anti-malware testfile at www.eicar.org. I used this site to test whether my web filtering is working correctly for detection. The results is now allowed

To block and get the block page I have to enable "Block" on the category "IT Services", which means any site under the IT services category will be blocked.

This thread was automatically locked due to age.

sorry, don't understand your problem...

currently eicar.org is categorized as "Information Security" ... you wrote you test with "IT Services" ... categorys may change from time to time...

You can use the Sophos Test Site under http://sophostest.com/utm/ for testing the web filtering too.

Thanks Alexander for the link. . Please ignore my initial post. I was using FF v71.0 and not sure why it is bypassing proxy, but MS Edge and Google Chrome browsers work as expected.

Would appreciate if someone can confirm
