Webfiltering track data to see which user is surfing

Hello,

I want to activate different webfilter profiles on my Sophos UTM 9. One profile should be for identifing which user are surfing currently on the web and track the sites he is visiting.

Its like a proxy to secure the workstations from potentially malware etc.

What should I activate to see which windows user is surfing currently on websides without the user ist noticing that hes activities will be tracked?

How can I realise that preferably?

thanks in advance

  • Salü Florian and welcome to the UTM Community!

Web Filtering Profiles are in an ordered list in WebAdmin.  When traffic is processed by an ordered list, it is handled by the first item for which it qualifies and by no other.  What you want to achieve can be done, so you should start to use Web Filtering and open a new thread when you have a question.

    Cheers - Bob

  • did you get an answer to the above??

I too am looking for the same thing.

    Thank You.

  • This is a standard feature of Web Filtering.    Turn it on and run reports.

Have you read the help pages or manual?   After doing so, read the Web Filtering articles in the Wiki and the Web Filtering Lessons Learned document at the top of the Web Filtering section.
