IPSEC S2S two remote sites with same public IP

Hi Folks,

once again this stupid questions about NAT and IPSEC, I know, but didn't find any answer myself, so better asking the community.

We have a Customer with a central UTM (with a public Network /28) and 2 UTM's at remote Locations. Unfortunatly those remote sites have both a sattelite link and the sat-provider dosn't give public IPs.

So when configuring the tunnel to the central site, the central site sees the same public IP from both remote sites. This won't work and only one set tunnels is coming up.

Anybody an idea of how to overcome this?

Regards, Rolf

  • I don't think there's a solution in the UTM, or any site-to-site tool, Rolf.  Only the satellite provider can solve this.

  • Hi Bob, ecpected this answer. With SSL-VPN it's no Problem, so my solution is to use IP-SEC for the "more important" site and SSL-VPN for the other one.

Not nice, but you are right, the SAT-Provider is stupid (but cheep :-) )
