IKEv2

Hi All,

are there any plans or schedules to implement the IKEv2 standard?
Because IKEv1 is not compatible with IKEv2, maybe you have a choice which protocol you will use.

last "rumor" I heard (admittedly from someone who works for Sophos but who knows...) is that there are some major upgrades to the ipsec infrastructure (StrongSwan) planned for v10. Most likely 10.0 is a year or more out though, so I wouldn't expect anything much sooner. [:(]

Related suggestions are:
IPsec: Add ECP256 and ECP384 (IKE DH Group 20) for Suite-B Compatibility
Upgrade to modern version of StrongSWAN which uses charon instead of pluto

I was told this today...

"It’s looking like it will be the middle of next year with the launch of V17 on the XG series of devices, it isn’t currently in the pipeline for UTM SG."
