ERROR: Endtag <//ca> missing

Hello,

I want to create a VPN connection with my "Sophos UTM 9" appliance and with a Samsung Android 9 device.

In the User portal of the Sophos UTM, I create/download an OVPN file. This file is imported in OpenVPN for Android 0.7.8.

After making some settings concerning LZO and use of certificates, I want to start the VPN connection.

I ran into the following error:

ERROR: Endtag <//ca> missing
Exiting due to fatal error
Process exited with exit value 1

I checked the structure of the ovpn-file, but it has the right structure in my opion.

Can anyone tell me what is going wrong?

Kind regards,
Philip

  • Hoi Philip and welcome (again) to the UTM Community!

You're the first person to report this error here.  What happens if you just install the configuration via the User Portal?  If that doesn't work, try undoing the changes you made during your first attempt.

    Cheers - Bob

  • Hello,

Looks like I am the very only one who has such an error.

An other VPN app showed me some other error:

error message mbed tls ssl read error x509 - certificate verification failed

This gave me some more response with a Google search.

I create a new Sophos UTM appliance and that one works good.

Look for differences in both configurations, but no major differences.

Since it takes to much time investigating in this issue, I continu using the new installation.

    Kind regards,

    Philip
