RED NO Internet

Hi Guys

Is it possible to deploy a RED device without connecting on a Ethernet?

Ethernet or Internet?

No Ethernet, but 4G/LTE Stick is possible after first deployment of the configuration.

No direct Internet connection, but Ethernet is possible with some issues.

Can you please brief us your requirement in detail? Alongside, please read, Sophos RED (Remote Ethernet Device) Technical Training Guide it has all the technical answers for RED.

Hi Jessie,

Make shure the red gets an IP, Gateway and DNS via DHCP (static is also possible).

The DNS Server should resolve the utm hostname (ip is also possible).

Then deploy the red configuration via usb stick to the red.

With internet, the red get the configuration and updates from red.astaro.com.

Without internet, you must deploy any configuration change manually.
