Why would this be happening

Hi,

I have an internal machine running as a mail server off a 192.168.0.* IP . The ASL machine has a static IP from an ADSL connection. My Packet log is showing constant dropped packets directed at port 25 from a particular mail hosting company which runs as a backup for my domain if my mail server is not on or having problem. My packet filter is setup as this Group External >>source Any >> Service SMTP >> Action allow >> to particular machine.

If i have it set as source "any" why would my firewall be dropping these packets.

Any ideas would be great

You also need to create a DNAT rule. You do need the filter rule, but that isn't enough -- the packets need to know where to go once they hit the external interface of your firewall.
