Mitel Border Gateway

I need to install a mitel border gateway. I’m trying to find out the best way to do it. Currently we do not have a dmz. I belive that the mitel need to be on the wan to get sip traffic but also on the lan to route to everything internal.

It’s a vm so I’m not keen on the work envolved in setting up a dmz. Possibly it could be done on a new vlan but I’m not sure how that works on the Sophos end.

The other thing I have seen is the VOIP section on the Sophos. What is this for. Is this an easier way for me to route traffic to this box.

Anyone got any advice?

  • I'm not familiar with the Mitel, Peter, but you might find something here by Googling:
