Need Direction - Internet Failover - 2 UTMs with 5 sites connected via Metro-Ethernet

Situation:

1 .Have 5 facilities ( 5 different Cities) All Connected via Spectrum Fibre EP LAN (aka Metro Ethernet). We will call them A,B,C,D,E

2. Site A & E are the only 2 with UTMs

3 Sites A and E have separate internet connections (Separate or additional from EP LAN)

4. Sites A,B,C,D,E - We come out of Spectrum's Switch/Router with Copper Cat 6 and directly into a layer 2/3 Switch/Trunk Port

5. Each Site has 3 or 4 VLANS

6. Site A is where all internet traffic is going for B,C,D .  E is presently utilizing its own Internet connection

7. Site A UTM - Serves as DHCP Server , DNS for Site B,C,D

8. Internet Connections @ Site A and E - Copper Cat 6 from spectrum into WAN Port on Sophos UTM

What do I need to do to re-route Internet traffic to Site E if Site A internet connection fails?

  • use E as def gateway from A .. or implement a dynamic routing protocol like OSPF.
