Messages bouncing - remote host rejected message

We currently have problems with some mails (notably and consistently twitter related mails) being bounced in the mail manager. This includes some mails by whitelisted providers and, funnily enough, even some mails from the UTM itself.

Example message:

2017-09-26 09:06:52 e.mail@mibs-ag.de P=<suite5@xpressus.emarsys.net> R=static_route_hostlist T=static_smtp: SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data: host 192.168.0.2 [192.168.0.2]: 500 Message rejected

I've already tried googling but I havent' really been getting anything useful at all. I'd really appreciate some pointers. At this stage I'm not quite sure if this a problem with the UTM or an issue on the server itself. We're currenty using Windows Server 2012, with the UTM acting as a SMTP proxy.
