POP failure: Cant connect to database

I'm seeing a POP failure and the logs show limitless numbers of the following error:

2017:08:24-14:34:22 ravenna pop3proxy[1057]: Can't connect to database, retrying in 10 seconds: could not connect to server: Connection refused
2017:08:24-14:34:32 ravenna pop3proxy[1057]: Can't connect to database, retrying in 10 seconds: could not connect to server: Connection refused
2017:08:24-14:34:42 ravenna pop3proxy[1057]: Can't connect to database, retrying in 10 seconds: could not connect to server: Connection refused
2017:08:24-14:35:07 ravenna pop3proxy[1229]: Can't connect to database, retrying in 10 seconds: could not connect to server: Connection refused

  • Did you resolve this, Doug?  If not, disable the POP3 Proxy, start the POP3 Live log, after the log has started to populate, enable the Proxy and then show us the lines up to the Connection refused error.  Then again, that may fix the problem!
