Sending e-mail fails since installing Astaro

I've searched the forum fairly well and haven't found a situation that closely matches mine. I'm using Outlook '07 sending mail from my local internal LAN machine to gmail, msn (POP, SMTP) and my website e-mail account, and since setting up ASG 8.0, sending e-mail fails with this error:

Task 'someuser@gmail.com - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Receiving mail works normally.

This is even with the SMTP proxy turned off. All accounts (gmail, msn, my website e-mail server) all fail with this error message. POP3 proxy seems to be working very well though. Gmail accounts are set up with POP port 995 SSL and SMTP port 587 TLS.

I'm sure I've missed something simple, but I've done all I know to do here.

The fact that this still happens with the SMTP proxy, makes me think it may be Packet Filter. Check the Packet Filter log. What sort of outbound packet filter rules do you have? Do you use an all encompasing LAN----ANY-----WAN Allow rule or are you more granular. If granular, you would need to add pf rules.

That did the trick, Scott! I was missing a LAN > ANY > WAN rule. Thanks much!
