UTM 9.701: Outgoing mail when using multiple external interfaces and addresses

Hi,

we have a SG330 with 4 external WAN Interfaces. 2 Interfaces have 4 IPs configured.

To prevent us to setup all IPs in Internet DNS (MX): How can I reduce SMTP traffic to only one interface/one IP?

Mailserver uses Sophos as proxy for outgoing mail.

No button for that in Email protection.

Any hints?

Interfaces / Multipath rules

We need this because only one of our WAN IPs has a DNS MX record

But again some detailed question: It seems that it is not possible to choose an IP different to the IP bound to the interface itself?

So an additionally bound IP to an interface is not choosable. Right?

If you don't want the primary but an alternative source IP for outgoing connections, the masquerading rule is not enough. You need a special SNAT rule for the connections
