Sophos UTM Won't Boot

I'm trying to install Sophos UTM for a friend. I've successfully installed the software multiple times but it simply won't work.

I tried installing from CD both 64 and 32 bit versions. Both claim to install fine and then computer just won't boot.

I started to try to install using USB but the mounting trick I've done in the past is not working.

All I get is a blank screen after a successful install. The system just won't book.

Computer works fine. It was booting with Windows installed and I just reinstalled Windows and it boots again. With Sophos installed nothing happens.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Carlos,

Verify the md5 checksum of the file here. On which platform are you trying to image the ISO? Make sure two network interfaces with 20 GB hard disk and minimum 2GB of RAM is allocated.

It turned out to be a problem with the optical drive. The installation CD is fine but it won't install on that machine even though it worked on another installation. Installed from USB and it worked fine on the first try

2 GB RAM ?

Could be this the reason because my fresh installation UTM 9.358 hangs on Verifying DMI Pool Data ...................... ?

Is an old machine with PIV and 512MB RAM.

Any help wll be very appreciated.

2GB of RAM is a minimum system requirement nowadays. Our SoHo appliances come with 2 GB RAM integrated.
