Why is my Sophos XG Home Firewall webinterface very slow and unresponsive?

Hi,

I am using a ASRock Q1900B-ITX with 8GB RAM and a 60GB SSD. This should meet the minimum requirements but it is nearly impossible to work with the webinterface because it takes 2 minutes to load a site.

Any idea why this is the case?

    What is the speed of your external connection? What are your rules?

    Do you have the IPS flood enabled?

    How many users when the browsing slows down?

    It is still in default configuration because the webinterface is so slow that I give up after loading 2 sites in 15minutes.

    The browsing does not slow down in general its just the local firewall web configuration interface.

    Hi David,

    Take SSH to XG and go to option 5. > 3. Advance console. Execute, service tomcat:restart -ds nosync.

    Any help after that?

    Dear Sachingurung,

     

    I have the same issue, with our newly purchased XG Sophos 125 appliance for our Organization, web interface is slow, the appliance restart it self once a day within 24 hours, once I enabled Hotspot services the appliance start to restart it self automatically 100 of time within on day 24 hours. I was wondering probably the issue is with hotspot once I removed the hotspot it the device become lighter than its previous time, if you or anyone can help me to lightening the performance of device and stop anonymous restart once a day within 24 hours and bring the device same as to its normal health.

    We recently upgraded from XG 17.5.12 to XG 18.0.1 and are having the EXACT same problem.  Did you ever find a solution to this?  Thank you!  - Jason
