High Memory Usage Concern

Greetings,

I was wondering if I should increase my memory in my current install. See attached image of dashboard. The memory is currently occupying 68% of the 6gbs allocated. Debating whether I should jump up to 8 or more.

It is a Hyper-V VM with access to both quad core processors. Host only has 16GB of ram so a memory upgrade would be required on the host to accommodate the increase for Sophos.

    Hi,

    Please check the graphs under Reporting->Hardware and see how much SWAP is/has been in use.

    Also, please post your version # and features in use.

    Are you having any performance problems?

    I have the same issue using version 9.191-2 on hardware appliance UTM-120 (2GB).

    See screenshot for required hardware report.

    Attached is the hardware image as requested. I am using version 9.107-33. I also have the following features enabled:

    1.) Firewall w/ 9 rules active
    2.) Intrusion Prevention w/ 4657/18229 rules
    3.) SMTP Proxy w/ less then 5 emails any given day
    4.) Endpoint protection w/ 1 device
    5.) Remote Access SSL VPN w/ less than 5 users
    6.) Antivirus active for HTTP/S, SMTP
    7.) Antispam active for SMTP
    8.) Antispyware active

    I have not noticed any particular slowness but if I could cut down the memory provided to the firewall that would be nice. I am looking to have a website behind this that will be increasing my traffic a bit so anything that can be done will help. I also have a 50/10 line from my ISP.

    Do you have single or dual-scan AntiVirus enabled?

    You don't have the HTTP Proxy / Web Protection enabled?
    I'm surprised it's using that much RAM.

    If the memory usage isn't growing, you should be OK with 4GB.
    I run mine with 2GB, but I have less services active.

    Can you post the Process List from the Support section of web admin?

    I have dual-scan AV running under http proxy/web protection which is enabled (i skipped it in my listing previously, my apologizes).
