PGSQL connection failed After update 7.300

This issue can occour in a HA/Cluster enviroment as far as I know. 

You can solve this problem by logging in via SSH and execute the following commands on both units (Master and Slave):

chmod 644 /var/chroot-smtp/etc/hosts

/var/mdw/scripts/smtp restart


This will change the right of the hosts file that it can be read by anyone.

After firmware upate to 7.300 incomming email stopped.
smtp proxy logfile output:
PGSQL connection failed: could not translate host name "db_host.local" to address: Name or service not known

Is this a known problem?

I had the same issue with our HA/cluster after updating to 7.300. Entering an static DNS record and setting the correct permissions solved it:

Hi all,

we had the same problem, and after making the static DNS-entry the mails will be received. Buuut what about the incoming Mails from the Point oft applying the update to to point of making the DNS-entry???
I Think, the sender has received an ok, and will not send the mail again!

Are these Mail lost?? Is it possible that astaro disappear mails?? This whould be terrible!
How can I find out whitch mails not forward to the receiver???
