I don’t think that support has published information about this. I would stay away because of a potential loss of support on the device.

If your device is without valid support ask yourself what’s the gain?

Updating the BIOS on your own is not needed. Instead, please ensure that you are on the latest UTM version (v9.510).

Please see this link for information related to Meltdown and Spectre. "If required, any necessary fixes (updated firmware, BIOS updates or equivalent images, etc.) will be made available to the latest versions of the network security product. "

"These products require no patches or fixes for these CVE vulnerabilities based on the assessment that access to the appliance OS to load external code is restricted, therefore malicious code cannot be executed. We recommend to follow best practices to protect the access of privileged accounts."
