UTM110/120 als RED weiterverwenden?

Hallo,

  • Hallo Karsten,

(Sorry, my German-speaking brain isn't creating thoughts at the moment. [:(])

As discussed, you could take the old UTM home as it has no resale value.  It would make a good home UTM (see ASG 425 Display with home license for being able to use the free home-use license).  You could use the RED capability in addition to protecting your home.

In the past, I recommended getting an SG 115 with a Network Protection subscription as it performs as well or better than a RED 50, is more flexible and is less expensive than was a RED 50 with warranty extensions.

Today, with the new SD REDs, the situation is less clear.  If the other location would have fewer than 10 IPs behind the device, then a 10-IP software license might make sense, but I would still likely prefer the new SD RED 20 for that.

You will want to consult your Sophos reseller.
