AP 55

Halo,

keep ap 55 after power outage it's ip configuration, how long? Or the item forgets it.

in our branch offices we have ap 55 that get dhcp address from local server (mac-address based). All staff ist connected to one switch. Head office (place of UTM) have MPLS tunel to branch offices.

Our care ist what happens to ap when the very switch fails?

If ap keeps the config we could connect it to router and hope it contacts UTM in head office (for ap we have power injector).

If not we must find other way to keep office working.

  • no, the AP don't keep the IP.
I disable the DHCP Server and disconnect AP some seconds from power - AP isn't active/pingable until i enable the DHCP server again.
You should consider implementing a secondary dhcp or dhcp-relay.
