Dell PE T105 Install Fails, Lists Two CPUs, Hardware Error

I'm trying to install asg-9.502-4.1, using a DVD, on my old Dell PowerEdge T105 server. On the Detected Hardware screen, it lists Dual-Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 1212, 2009 MHz twice. Does the install routine think there are two processors? The box has one dual-core CPU.

I select OK through the install until I get a hardware error, machine check exception, and the install process halts and the system hangs.

Is there a fix?

Hi,

some of the older AMD chips were not compatible and did not work.

Thanks. Still old, but wonder if I might have better luck with this CPU:

AMD is not a good platform for the UTM. William explained why several times - Google

Ended up installing it on a Zotac CI325 nano. Works well.
