Problem with Client Authentication(SSA)UTM since version 9.409

Hello Sophos Community,

does anybody of you have problems with the client authentication(sophos authentication agent) since version 9.409?

I use this feature at home but after I installed 9.409 this feature does not work anymore.
Installation of the latest update does not help either.

Reinstall of SAA and remove and add the certificate is also unsecessful.

The logs did not record anything(tail -f /var/log/*.log | grep IP-Adress) and when i do an tcpdump i can see that my client is sending an request to 1.2.3.4:9980 but the UTM does not respond.

Any ideas here?

  • Before re-imaging from ISO and restoring from backup, try these two things:

    1. Make a new backup and then restore the backup made prior to the upgrade.  If the problem persists, restore the new backup.
    2. Reboot the UTM.

    thanks for the reply.

    Unfortunately does this not help either.
    So i have to reimage the UTM.
