Sophos UTM site-to-site ipsec vpn with eWon VPN Routers?

Hello everybody,

is it possible to build Site-to-Site IPSec VPN between a Sophos UTM 105 and eWON CD 2005 and eWON Flexy 201 VPN routers?

Unfortunately, I can't test it, but it may have to set up at the customer.

Hi Yannick Dürbaum

If the remote end device supports the IPsec module, you could configure the IPsec Tunnel Between Sophos UTM and Remote end device.

IPsec Phase1 and 2 configurations should be the same at both devices and you can initiate and connect the tunnel.

Hi Keyur,

the device only supports ssl VPN.

Is it possible to build a site-to-site connection without any problems?

Hallo Yannick and welcome to the UTM Community!

I'm afraid that the link proposed by Keyur will only work when there's another Sophos UTM in the remote location. Over the years, many have tried to connect the UTM SSL VPN to a device running OpenVPN - I don't know of any that were successful. IPsec is the only solution that will work reliably with other brands.

I don't know on UTM but I've tried to connect Sophos XG with Ewon without success.

Ewon OpenVPN version is 2.0.9, Sophos XG is 2.3

The problem is we can't modify the OpenVPN server configuration file on the XG (/cfs/system/openvpn/openvpn.conf)

The ip address is pushed with the following format : "ifconfig IP MASQ" which is not compatible with OpenVPN 2.0.9

We need root access on XG!!
