Up2Date SSH

Hi,

We have UTM220 version 9.318-5 (Installed with error) we wanted update to newest version or reinstall same version which was installed with error. but got an error ,,failed update,, (in browser).

So we decided up2date with SSH. But stopped in one point and didn't know what to do... Here is commands which i'm used:

  • Try uploading it through the web interface and kicking it off that way.
  • When I uploading through web i got error. And nothing happens, no reboot, no changes.

  • The fastest way to recover may be to simply reinstall UTM9. Do you know if you're using the hardware (appliance) or software (non-appliance) version of the UTM installer?
  • Hi, Simonas, and welcome to the UTM Community!

You just needed to start with the following command:

    echo ' 9.317005'>/etc/version

    I addressed a similar situation in https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/f/51/p/22723/62574#62574

  • Thanks BAlfson,

done everything like you said. Still error when installing version 9.3500-12.

What would be next steps ?

    Thanks

  • In Webadmin -> Loging & Reporting -> Up2Date messages I got this type of error:

  • It looks like you're now on 9.318, so I would set the Download interval to "Manual" and delete everything in /var/up2date/sys and the others as you did in your original post. Then, back in WebAdmin, click on 'Check for Up2Date packages now'. Then just wait to be able to install normally from within WebAdmin.
