Slow Wifi with AP100C and XG430

I have just installed 11 AP100C access points connected via the XG430 but have very poor wifi performance across all SSIDs. We have a 300Mbps internet connection but I can only seem to pull 12-15 on a speed test. The devices only seem to be connecting at 24Mbits on 2.4Ghz. Any idea why this might be? The XG is running SFOS 16.05.3 MR-3 and the APs are on the latest version.

Thanks

  • Hi Andrew

If your clients are connected at 2.4 Ghz please check whether they are connected at 802.11g or 802.11n.

Because if client is connected at 802.11g then 12-18 Mbps in speed test is i guess maximum you can get. And if clients are connected on 'n' you can get maximum 100-150 Mbps in speed test if client also supports 3x3 mimo.

At your internet speed only 802.11 ac supported client on 5 Ghz can give best performance.
