Today we released a new version to Sophos Central, containing the following changes:

New features:

  • CWIFI-1091: Hotspot Portal (requires AP firmware update)
  • CWIFI-4547: Hotspot Backend Authentication with Radius (requires AP firmware update)
  • CWIFI-2144: scheduled SSID availability
  • CWIFI-4388: Rogue AP: BSSID classification (requires AP firmware update)

Improvements & bugfixes:

  • CWIFI-4444: corrected usage insight reports
  • CWIFI-4675: corrected falsely redirection from Neighbourhood SSID tab to wireless dashboard
  • CWIFI-4695, CWIFI-4791: added some protections for APs going offline irregularly
  • CWIFI-4697: corrected AP client counts
  • CWIFI-4714: corrected dashboard display for > 50 APs
  • CWIFI-4725: corrected issue that causes APs not to broadcast all configured networks
  • CWIFI-4845: corrected mesh network creation issue
  • CWIFI-4846: address issue that causes an AP to stop bridging new connections
  • CWIFI-4943, CWIFI-5038, CWIFI-5022: addressed WLAN stability issues in combination with IPv6 and broadcast/multicast

Note: we had to disable multicast-to-unicast conversion as we saw stability issues in certain load scenarios. We will add an option to enable it explicitly in one of the next releases.

The new AP firmware is installed according to the update schedule you've defined or when triggered explicitly on the "Settings" page.
