Hi,
next week we will release a new AP firmware. This firmware will contain major changes in our wireless driver. Unfortunately this will result in an incompatibility for Mesh between version 1.3 and any previous one. As a result, once the root AP was updated, no repeater AP cannot participate in Mesh anymore.
To mitigate this, you have to temporarily connect your repeater APs to the internet to allow them to retrieve the new firmware. Afterwards, your Mesh is fully operational again.
We suggest the following procedure if you are affected:
- Temporarily change your firmware update schedule to a date in the future (e.g. monthly, week 4)
- At a time that is convenient for you:
- connect your repeater APs to the internet
- trigger the update manually
- ensure that all APs are updated: check the events that are reported + check the reported version number on your repeater APs
- place the repeater APs at the original location
- Change your firmware update schedule back to the original settings (daily or weekly is recommended)
