When I start a scan on my Windows machine, SophosHomeClean.exe crashes after exactly 272829 files scanned.
I have already tried reinstall but it still crashes at the same amount of scanned files.
Never saw smth like that but you need to provide more info.Which version..?OS.? Other security-related software installed..?
Hi Christoph ,
Please post the logs from C:\ProgramData\Sophos\Home Clean\Logs *latest

Could you share the SDU logs for the same to analyze them , You may retrieve the SDU logs and upload onto any shared drive and share the link via private message me along with the Link to this thread as a reference to the issue .
To fetch the SDU logs kindly follow the KB article. https://sophos.com/kb/33533
After investigating the logs you have submitted could you run the command in command prompt as administrative privileges and run the command "sfc /scannow" this will initiate a system check for any corrupt files.
Please refer https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system for more info. We would also suggest reinstalling open VPN . This should solve the issue and scan should complete without any hassle.
I've tried both suggestions but the issue is still present. Now it seems like it is crashing at half the amount of scanned files.
