How to Manually Trigger an Alert from SOPHOS CENTRAL ENDPOINT to SOPHOS CENTRAL CONSOLE? CLI Method

How do we enforce an Update from SOPHOS CENTRAL MANAGED ENDPOINT--> SOPHOS CENTRAL, So that we can trigger necessary updates (Definition / Policy, Etc)

P.S = Performing an Update from the SOPHOS CENTRAL ADMIN CONSOLE to the ENDPOINT is taking a while or at times is failing. So would need a way to manually trigger an UPDATE

Hi skyisbluescree,

You can open the Client console > Aboout(Right bottom corner) > Update now.

This will trigger the client to check with the central for both the definition update and the polcy updates.

Thanks @Gowtham But anythin via CMD interfeace? Basically i am looking for an remote command which i can trigger using psexec.exe on the remote PC.

I would like to learn the answer on CLI update as well. Besides, it would be interesting to learn if it is possible to update individual modules policy only.

We do not have any command line option to manually trigger the update, but however the following thread might help you.

.VBS does not sound a solution.

P.S - We have the execution of this extension blocked as well

We have the execution of this extension blocked
just the implicit execution or the wscript/cscript host? And BTW, VBS is not required, in the thread referred by Gowtham Mani is a PowerShell example.
