Is Sophos abandoning Web Gateway?

Sophos Web Gateway is not available for trial on Sophos Central anymore, at least for me. Are they still planning on improving this product? Or are they replacing it with something else?

  • I heard they are going to roll it into the endpoint but I thought they said sometime next year.  I do not see it anymore either.

     

    We were working on getting this tested and rolled out.  Good thing I was waiting for everything else in Central to get fixed before I started it.

    So I was just looking at this and I think I see what they are doing.

     

    I found a nice little hint.  If you are on the web control policy settings page and you go up and logout you might see the same thing.

We will continue to support the current Cloud Web Gateway offering until we have fully delivered on this vision for our customers. In the meantime, Cloud Web Gateway customers can expect full support and security/data updates to the platform to secure customer environments.

    We look forward to bringing you more news on this later in 2018, along with plans for transitioning to the new Sophos Web solution.
