How can I automatically assign computers to computer groups in Sophos Central?

Now Sophos Central has the ability to manage computer groups and apply certain policies to them, I would like a way to ensure a newly installed client becomes a member of a computer group.  Sophos Enterprise Console has a similar function whereby you could use a command-line switch to assign the group when installing the client.  Is it possible to do something similar in Sophos Central?

  • I've looked at the suggested link which explains the available switches:

    However these switches don't work on the thin installer available from the Sophos Central site (sophosinstall.exe).  This installer only offers these switches:

    I have also tried unpacking sophosinstall.exe to get setup.exe but the switches referenced in the first document still don't work.

    The first link above mentions SophosSetup.exe.  Where does that come from?

    I am obviously missing something here but I can't work out what it is at the moment.

    If someone could point me in the right direction that would very helpful!
