Changing the Device ID of a USB stick

I'd like to change the Device ID of one of my USB sticks.

It looks like this;

DEVICE ID : USBSTOR\DISK&VEN_SANDISK&PROD_ULTRA_USB_3.0&REV_1.00\4C530001170307xxxxxx&0

Is it possible to do that?

I couldn't find anything on the net I'm afraid.

Anyone can help me.

why would you want to do this?
This is not an arbitrary name but a unique identifier of the device's nature.

Unfortunately, at the moment it is not possible to change the Device ID. However, I do agree with QC and would like to know why would you want to do that. If you still wish to see this feature in the future releases of Sophos Central, then please raise a feature request here.
