Out of date

Question

Hi, 
 Related to out of date computers.My question is 
 1) if the machine is out of date do we need to update manually or (will it try again and again to update itself.If yes how many times it will try once a day or once a week).Thanks in advance.

Hi, 
 Sophos AutoUpdate should be constantly checking for updates every 60 minutes. 
 For Windows at least, the Sophos AutoUpdate service starts as the computer starts up and 5 minutes later the first update is performed. Every hour after a check is made. You can force an update from Central or from the client at any time. 
 The log file of interest if things aren't going as expected is: \ProgramData\Sophos\AutoUpdate\logs\SophosUpdate.log
