[Sophos Notification] Microsoft Edge web browsing issues being reported following upgrade/installation of Windows 10 version 1809 (Redstone 5)

Update - (November 14th, 2018):

Microsoft have now re-released Windows 10 October Update (version 1809):

This includes a fix for this browsing issue included in the following update:

Following discussions with Microsoft, we have confirmed the issue is with a number of Microsoft drivers. Updated drivers have been tested and confirmed to fix the issue and are now awaiting roll out by Microsoft. There is no current planned date for this due to the current paused state of the Windows 10 release:

Following the release of Windows 10 version 1809 (Redstone 5), Edge may fail to load websites:

  • Can not connect securely to this page
    This may be because the site uses outdated or insecure TLS security settings. If the problem occurs repeatedly, contact the site owner

HTTP sites display the following:

  • This page is not available.
