Running Cloud Migration Tool with Non Local SQL Database.

Hi All,

I have tried to run the Cloud Migration Tool on our Enterprise Console server but it comes up with the message "The SEC/SCC database is not local. The product currently supports only local databases".

Is there a work around for this ?

Is it going to be developed to support non local databases in the near future ?

Hi Richard,

The current version of the migration tool only supports local DBs, there is a plan to update this to support remote DBs; the last I heard this was due towards the end of the year.

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for the reply - may be a bit too late for us. Is there any workaround ?. I have seen a few articles on moving from one remote database server to another but not moving from remote database to local database.

Hi Richard,

I'm not sure about moving from a remote to a local database. I think you will have to speak to support or your account manager to see if that is an option for you.
