The error we have tonite: "Temporary error while accessing Sophos Central, please try again"
Could you please confirm if you are still receiving this error? It might be possible that it was just a temporary timeout error. I have just checked and can access Sophos central dashboard. You can also check the status of Sophos Central service updates here.

Maybe tomorrow. Unit is in standby on the shelf. I wanted to register it prior to return it in its storage box...
Service is still down, when trying to register an XG to central, cf attachement.

Awhile back I had a similar issue and it turned out that I had to be using the device registers in my sophos id as primary as my primary firewall. The HA one should not be set as primary, basically make sure the serial number on sophos id that is set as primary matches the HA deployment you have setup as well.

Also I told them this made no sense since the HA firewall may have to take over in case of hardware failure or some other reason but was told it is how the system works and I really did not want to spend hours making my point. In the end it has worked great sense!
My setup is not in HA ... So.
Again, I cannot register from the appliance GUI. And I cannot register from Sophos Central either.
I’m asking If Sophos was hacked because Sophos Antivirus was down, registering in Sophos Central too, Sophos community was also hit. Seems to me that’s a lot at the same time ...

Needless to say, the recent community outage that occurred and the ongoing visual anomalies that are actively being investigated by our website team, are completely unrelated and coincidental and were not a result of any "hacks" or malicious actions.
Are you still experiencing registration issues with Sophos Central? If so, I would advise to raise a support case with our team so that further investigation can be performed.

I’ve written my post only few hours ago. So yes the issue is still there.
If I can’t register by the end of the week, I will simply quit using Sophos Central.
