I'm seeing server backups fail more and more frequently due to snapshot technology initialization failures and VSS Writer timeouts.
During the troubleshooting I came across this article: Sophos Central Server: Volume Shadow Copy backups randomly fail
This article describes an issue related to Central Server Core Agent 2.0.2. But it does not detail if it's fixed.
I have a Windows 2019 server Version 1809 that runs Veritas Backup Exec Server Version 20.5 Rev 1188.
I have Sophos Central Intercept X Advanced for Server. Version info:

So my questions are:
Thank you :-)
Could you please try the workaround provided in the article. There is no ETA as of now of the fix documented in the article to be added into the product as a permanent fix. If you are still facing the issue after performing the steps mentioned in the article, I would advise you to open a support case.
In reply to Shweta:
Thank you for your reply.
The workaround in the article appears to have worked. I will monitor it for a few more days to be sure.
