I am having the same activation issues as everyone else (Windows completely up to date, all the suggested checkboxes checked, etc.). If it helps at all, my Office applications would not run either (I was not trying to run them inside Sandboxie). After uninstalling Sandboxie 5.30 my Office applications would run again. When will this issue be fixed? I have the "lifetime license" on multiple computers at home and this is a real pain in the you-know-what.
Unistall 5.30 and reinstall 5.28. Maybe 5.30 is the last version and the issues will never be fixed.
We are sorry for the inconveniences. If you had your office apps set to forced in the Sandbox, and then you lost your activation, then it would explain the behavior (as office apps only work on the activated version).
Please visit Activation failed - Please provide feedback and follow the thread for updates regarding the Activation status.
In reply to Barb@Sophos:
No, I did not have my Office applications set to automatically run in Sandboxie. There was never a yellow frame around any Office application window in the past, but there is one around my browser window. Just to verify that behavior, I forced Word to run inside Sandboxie 5.28 and indeed there is the yellow frame as I would expect. That weird Office behavior just happened when installing Sandboxie 5.30. So whatever was changed in 5.30 really seemed to screw things up.
I have removed 5.30 and installed 5.28 and things are working again.
In reply to David Trauernicht:
If you can repro the issue and provide the required info, I will test it (so far, I have not seen this behavior on any of my test machines or my hosts):
How to report problems with Sandboxie
5.30 also breaks Internet Explorer outside of Sandboxie. This could be the reason.
